With excitement, the Health & Safety Conference Society of Alberta (HSCSA) is looking forward to receiving applications from those who have a passion or hot topic related to health and safety, or a topic related to the theme. Presentations should include practical learning that attendees can take back to their business.
The theme of the 2022 conference is Preparing for the Unexpected: Lessons Learned
The Call for Speakers will close on December 15, 2021. We will contact successful applicants in the weeks following that date.
The health and safety of our speakers, attendees, exhibitors and volunteers is of the utmost importance to us as we aim to have a successful in person conference. As the landscape of COVID changes, we will be adapting to any rules and regulations outlined by Alberta Health Services and our host location NAIT. If the situation arises and we are forced to move to a online platform, or a hybrid conference (in person & virtual), we will consider this. Please ensure you are prepared as a speaker to potentially present in person or virtually.
If you submitted a application for the 2021 conference that we unfortunately had to cancel, we have your application on file. Please let us know if you would like to submit the same application for review. If we do not hear from you then we will assume that you are declining to have your application reviewed again for the 2022 conference. If you wish to update your application, please submit a new application.
Please note that making a submission does not guarantee a speaking spot and we are not able to give feedback on individual submissions. Applications that do not include the form or are incomplete will not be considered.
If you would like to be considered as a speaker, please submit your application by December 15, 2021. Speaker selections are made by a committee based on the best fit for the conference theme.
